So I've been sitting on this idea for the past two years and i decided to take this game jam as an opportunity to try making the most bare-bones concept version of this game to see if the idea is any good.

you make pasta, shoot the pasta, collect calories, upgrade the clicker and then make some more pasta.

F/right click enables autoshoot.

the full game will be built around these mechanics but adding some more story, maps, modes, enemies and many other stuff. i'll expand upon those in an upcoming devlog on our channel.

the game itself is supposed to be filled with references to old school copy-pastas so that's the excuse I used for submitting this game in the folklore themed Godot wild jam (because its internet folklore)

I love the concept! Vampire Survivors style games have always been on the edge of an idle game so I feel like this fuses really well with the semi-idle style of a clicker game.  It'd be nice if the pasta shooter had maybe a one-shot on_just_pressed with the rapid fire having a short wind-up delay before it can fire on_pressed so that you don't have to fire clumps of your limited supply of ammo unless you want to. I look forward to seeing a pasta-pun laden implementation of various classic copypastas!

I like the concept.  The autoclicker seems underpowered for being one of the main upgrades though, since it only does anything when you're on the upgrade menu where there isn't much else to do besides clicking.  Could be interesting if it gave you pasta in combat, either contributing to your current pasta or the pasta you will have going into the next combat
